Our IT Director, Scott Blanck, was lucky enough to recently visit and work in the White House garden. It was a hot summer morning but the pastry chef led garden duties for about a dozen staffers and volunteers. Among several chores, the chef wanted the basil trimmed for future pesto sauce so Scott grabbed the clippers and went to work. After getting dirty, Scott and his wife walked up the lawn and went inside to clean up for a White House tour to end their special visit.
