Knoll Hosts IIDA Trash to Treasure Event

On September 17, 2009, Knoll Atlanta hosted the 3rd Annual IIDA Georgia Chapter's "Trash to Treasure" Art Auction. Both a silent and live auction took place with all proceeds going to the "Atlanta Beltline", an ambitious effort to convert a 22 mile unused railway surrounding the city into a vibrant urban greenspace.

The "Atlanta Beltline" event, which turned unused articles, materials and content into art, underlines the Knoll commitment to thoughtful material reuse and underscores the Knoll dedication to sustainable design.

"Beltline" began as a thesis project by a Georgia Tech Student several years ago and has since become a grass roots effort embraced not only by the city but also by several philanthropic organizations.
