AutoTrader.com Creates World-Class Work Space With Help From Hendrick and Corporate Environments
When AutoTrader.com took on additional space and expanded its Atlanta headquarters location, the goal was to create an environment that was dramatically different from its other occupied floors. Dave Spotts and Dave Heidlauf of AutoTrader.com wanted to make a statement in the new space in order to attract and retain employees. Collaborating with the design firm Hendrick, Corporate Environments (CE) helped the company to realize a fun and energized work environment that achieved the aesthetic AutoTrader.com desired.
“The plan that Nancy Kelly, Janet Simpson, and Cerese Dolman of Hendrick designed is a world-class working environment,” describes CE salesperson Patti Miller. “From the minute you walk into the space and see the Mustang emerging from the wall you get a real sense of excitement.”
Splashes of color on the workstation panels add a sense of fun to the function of the workspaces. The final project is comprised of approximately 180 Knoll Dividends workstations with segmented, multi-level panels with bright accents in the logo colors of purple, green and orange. The same accent colors are continued throughout the carpet and paint to further enliven the space. The renovated space also includes an updated break room and lounge areas, which include cool memorabilia and even a pool table.
“This was a demanding, but delightful client,” says Patti. “They had a real vision and as a result set the benchmark for the design and renovation of future floors.”
CE is pleased to have partnered with AutoTrader.com and Hendrick to assist the firm in accomplishing its renovation goal to create an exciting work environment for its employees.
